Two men were arrested here for allegedly extorting over Rs 10 lakh from a woman by threatening to upload her obscene photographs on social media, police said on Thursday.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) Jitender Meena said the five people who were admitted to a hospital as they had inhaled fumes were out of danger and they would be discharged shortly.

According to police, the woman filed a complaint on the Cyber Portal regarding extortion by the two men. She alleged that around two to three years ago, she had accepted a friend request from an Instagram ID

Police reported the discovery of a video on Wednesday, displaying instances of defacement through graffiti.
