As part of their 'Delhi Chalo' march, farmers have been staging protests at four busy border points of the national capital, to press their demands for repealing the agri-marketing laws.

Those fighting for a cause feel that Jantar Mantar and Ramlila ground are better options if their voices are to be heard by the powers that be.

Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that the Central government is committed for the prosperity of farmers and said "gumrahi gang" is trying to mislead them.

This comes as farmers groups, including women, continued their march towards Delhi while protesting and raising slogans near the border areas of the national capital.

Massive traffic jams were also reported from Singhu border, Tikri border and Delhi-Gurugram border because of the protest.

The prime minister who is concerned about 'one nation, one election', should also implement "one nation, one treatment", the Congress general secretary in-charge Uttar Pradesh said.

Earlier, the Delhi Police had sought permission from the AAP government to use the city's nine stadiums as temporary jails for the agitating farmers.

Situation was tense at the border points as Delhi Police made repeated announcements on loudspeakers asking the farmers to retreat.

Farmers' bodies said they will hold a dharna wherever they are stopped from moving towards the national capital.

Police said that the accused used to send pop-ups to unsuspecting people that their devices have been hacked and infected with malware and then cheat them on the pretext of providing technical support by Microsoft.

Sub-Inspector, Puneet Grewal, who was arrested on Saturday, has been sent to judicial custody.
