The BRS is preparing a series of legal petitions against the Congress government after the Telangana High Court quashed FIRs against party activists. The verdict, seen as a safeguard for political dissent, is expected to nullify most pending cases
The duo, summoned for their social media posts in support of protesting UoH students, charged the Congress government with political vendetta and intimidation tactics
“I attempted to access the Telangana State Statistical Abstract - 2024, officially released by the Telangana Government yesterday. However, to my surprise, the website hosting the report (tgdps.telangana.gov.in) has been inaccessible since this morning” Dileep Konatham, former Digital Media Coordinator said on X
He said the police registered a case of organised crime against him, which was more apt for the Revanth Reddy government for its repeated attempts to implicate him in fabricated cases
While the exact reason for the arrest was yet to be ascertained, Dileep was initially summoned for questioning on Monday in connection with a previous case for reposting video links of the Jainoor clashes in September this year
Dileep was taken into custody from his residence by a police team without any explanation. After his release, Dileep posted on X, saying, "Just got home! This freedom is thanks to the support and struggle of all of you."
Dileep was arrested purely because he questioned your government’s failure in providing flood relief, your inability to implement the farm loan waivers, and for exposing the hollowness of your six guarantees," he stated.
