Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force (Shamshabad) and RGIA police arrested an alleged interstate drug peddler and seized eight kilograms of ganja on Tuesday. Police identified the suspect as Raj Pradhan of Odisha and said he planned to sell the contraband in Hyderabad.
The EAGLE Force and Abdullapurmet police arrested a 30-year-old man and seized 200 ml of hashish oil worth around Rs 2.5 lakh at Hyderabad’s ORR. Police said he procured the drug from an Odisha supplier through Snapchat for sale in Hyderabad.
Following the alleged escape of a drug peddler from Narsingi police station, officials have highlighted strict custody procedures. SOPs include risk assessment, removal of harmful objects, and constant supervision to prevent escapes and self-harm while ensuring detainee safety in police lock-ups.
Hyderabad police and HNEW arrested a drug peddler and three customers, including IT professionals, and seized MDMA and charas. Officials said the accused were part of a local supply chain and further investigation is underway to trace the source network.
