A male leopard that evaded capture for 23 days in and around Hyderabad's Chilkur area was finally trapped on the night of July 31. After a sustained effort by the Forest Department using camera traps, cages, and live bait, it was captured and released into Kambalpally forest in Nalgonda.
A leopard that caused panic in Gandipet and nearby areas was finally trapped by forest officials at Forest Trek Park. The animal is being shifted to Nehru Zoological Park for observation before being released back into the wild.
In all 24 participants from different areas of Hyderabad participated in the camp, which commenced at 4 p.m. on Saturday and concluded at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
