Students of the Tribal Welfare Girls' Residential School in Mahabubabad staged a protest over a month-long water shortage, alleging inadequate sanitation facilities and harassment by teachers. Minister Seethakka later spoke to the students and assured them that the issue would be resolved.
A Class IX student was hospitalised after a snakebite at a KGBV school in Jogulamba Gadwal, while students from another Gurukul staged a protest over unsafe drinking water, broken toilets, and government apathy despite repeated pleas for action.
Posting the audio clip on X, BRS MLC K Kavitha strongly criticised the Congress government, describing the incident as discriminatory, exploitative, and a violation of fundamental child rights and dignity. She asserted that it reflects the Revanth Reddy-led administration’s disregard for marginalised communities.
"Congress leaders should be ashamed to blame BRS for repeated incidents of food poisoning across the State. They are behaving as if the BRS is in power and they are in opposition, by coming up weird conspiracy theories to deflect the blame," he said, adding that such blaming would only project the Congress rule in a poor light.
