IIIT-Basar released its provisional selection list for the 2025–26 B Tech batch, with 1,690 students chosen for its Basar and Mahbubnagar campuses. Nizamabad topped with 297 selections. Counselling for selected candidates will be held from July 7 to 9.

Blaming the government for the suicide of the girl student, the union Minister said the State government should take care of the family members of the deceased and compensate them appropriately.
