According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) - Hyderabad, the southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of Maldives-Comorin area.

Moderate to heavy rain with thunder and lightning occurred in many places across the city.

The department said that two western disturbances are prevailing the weather condition which may bring rain and thunderstorms to the western Himalayas.
