On BRS president KCR attack on the Congress government for failing to fulfill the promises made to people, the Chief Minister said the State government was implementing several welfare and development programmes.

Accusations have been made that funds intended for public welfare were being diverted into private pockets. This claim is not solely from the BRS; over 200 contractors, who had not received payment for their bills unless they paid commissions, protested by storming the Finance Minister’s office in the Secretariat. They raised concerns about the prevalent commission culture, he said.

Chandrashekhar Rao, emphasizing that the operation primarily focused in neighboring Chhattisgarh, condemned the massacre as unjust and "against dharma." He urged the Centre to halt the killings and instead invite the Maoists for peace talks to hear their concerns.

He recalled how, as if the local leaders were not enough, "duplicate" Gandhis arrived from New Delhi and promised Rs. 15,000 under Rythu Bandhu, a higher amount than what KCR was offering, and questioned what happened to that promise.

Speaking at the massive rally in Elkathurthy, he highlighted that Telangana, from its formation as a separate state, has evolved into a progressive region due to the tireless efforts of its leaders and the sacrifices of its people.

He recalled that even the word 'Telangana' was banned in the Assembly, with the Speaker issuing a ruling on the matter, while addressing the party's silver jubilee meeting at Elkakurthy. He emphasized that at every crucial moment, it was the BRS leaders who made personal sacrifices for the cause of Telangana.

Beginning by highlighting Telangana’s journey of growth since the BRS (formerly TRS) took office in 2014, Rao recalled how the State garnered numerous awards and achieved impressive progress across various sectors, including per capita income and GSDP.

Rao arrived at the venue by 6.30 pm and requested the crowd to rise and observe a moment of silence in honor of the 26 tourists who lost their lives in the terror attack. Only after this solemn tribute did he commence the proceedings of the meeting.

Rao accused the Congress of deceiving the public with false promises during the election campaign. Reflecting on the Congress's time in power over the past year and a half, the former minister stated that the people of the State now wanted BRS to return to power under the leadership of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao.

BRS MLC K Kavitha, said people had started seeing through the Congress deceit. She visited the Sri Bhadrakali temple in Warangal and performed special pujas, seeking blessings for the success of the silver jubilee meeting.
