The Centre has sanctioned four new Kendriya Vidyalayas for Telangana following efforts by former Khammam MP Nama Nageswara Rao. The schools will come up in Kothagudem, Mulugu, Wanaparthy, and Jagtial, raising the state’s KV count to 39.
The Union Cabinet has approved 57 new Kendriya Vidyalayas across 17 states and UTs, benefiting over 86,000 students. These KVs, costing Rs 5,862 crore, include Balvatikas and will create over 4,600 jobs, focusing on underserved and strategic regions

For the Class XII examinations, a total of 8,337 students, i.e., 4,433 boys and 3,904 girls, appeared of whom 8,266 students were declared as pass. The pass percentage among boys from the State was 98.85 while it was 99.49 among the girls.
