A paddy procurement centre in Kishtapur village was shut after allegations that paddy worth Rs 3 crore was misappropriated. Labour Minister Dr Vivek ordered its closure and an inquiry, following a farmer’s complaint supported by documentary evidence

The students were Darshini Bajaj from Chinna Munshi Public School in Chennur and Ramtenki Vishnuvardhan of a government school at Kishtapur village in Jannaram mandal.

Some more farmers also did not receive the waiver, but they were not willing to disclose their identity due to reasons unknown.
