Telugu actor Akkineni Nagarjuna has earned a unique fan base in Japan, where admirers fondly call him ‘Nag-Sama.’ The title, symbolising respect, grew after his roles in Brahmastra and Kuberaa, showing Indian cinema’s cross-border appeal.
At the success meet of Kuberaa, megastar Chiranjeevi praised Dhanush’s performance as Deva, calling it worthy of a National Award. He also lauded director Sekhar Kammula and co-stars Nagarjuna and Rashmika for making the film a deeply moving experience
One of the things that sets Nagarjuna apart is his ease in navigating different phases of cinema. Whether it’s a mass entertainer, a romantic drama, or a bilingual project, he’s always had a sense of what works and more importantly, what suits him at each stage of his career.
While fans are excited about this fresh collaboration, Sekhar's immediate focus is on his upcoming release Kuberaa, which hits theatres this Friday, June 20.
Earlier version of the film had a runtime of three hours and 15 minutes. However, the makers had got the film censored to prevent last minute tensions.
Mugafi’s global outreach for exploitation of ancillary rights backed by Sree Venkateswara Cinema’s vision of moviemaking will benefit Kuberaa globally.
