The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) concluded its latest land auction phase with the sale of the Golden Mile site. COEUS Education Management Pvt. Ltd. acquired the 1.98-acre parcel at Rs 77.75 crore an acre.
The HMDA’s recent land auction aimed at boosting state revenue saw a dismal turnout, with only three of 93 plots sold. Despite high expectations of earning Rs. 500 crore, the auction was marred by steep upset prices and rigid terms, deterring potential bidders.
Reacting to a post on X, the Congress MP said: “Unfortunately the ‘State / Government/ Authority’ behaves the same no matter where or who is in charge!”
