Hyderabad Police have ordered the temporary closure of liquor outlets in the Rajendranagar, Golconda and Charminar zones during the Mahankali Bonalu festival. Wine shops, toddy shops and most restaurant bars will remain closed, while star hotels and registered clubs are exempt.
Liquor outlets in Malkajgiri, Hyderabad, and Cyberabad will remain closed from April 2 to April 3 for Hanuman Jayanti. Police have exempted star hotels and registered clubs while enforcing the ban to maintain public order during the festival.
