Terming Banerjee as the "Bengal Tigress", the Sena's chief spokesperson expressed solidarity with her and claimed she will win the election in her state.
After the EC on Monday barred Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee from campaigning for 24 hours, her party claimed that the poll panel was behaving like a 'wing of the BJP'.
The Chief Minister had said that she will hold a protest rally in Cooch Behar on Sunday against the firing incident and visit the homes of the deceased.
Four persons were killed when CISF personnel opened fire allegedly after coming under attack from locals, who "attempted to snatch their rifles" in Cooch Behar district.
"It is extremely unfortunate that political battles are thus sought to be fought in this manner instead of being fought in the campaign trail," the EC observed.
Claiming that a BJP wave was blowing across West Bengal and his party would form the next government, Modi said Banerjee's angry reactions indicate that she has lost the polls.
While speaking at a public rally in Goghat, she said: I once went to attend a programme in Chamkaitala and we were not allowed to set up a stage for the meeting.
If you vote for BJP, they will chase you out from the state. By keeping bohiragato (outsider) goons, they will capture everything in Bengal and they will capture Bengal's existence itself.
"We are being called 'tourists', fun is being made of us, we are being insulted. Didi, people of Rabindranath's Bengal don't consider anybody outsider," Modi added.
Veteran TMC MP Sisir Adhikari - father of Suvendu Adhikari - joined the BJP at Egra on Sunday in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other senior leaders of the party.
"No other government in the world has been able to do as much work as ours. Their (BJP) prime minister cannot run the country, totally incompetent," she said.
The TMC had announced it will release its manifesto on March 9 but later decided to postpone it to March 11 due to the Kolkata fire incident which claimed nine lives.
