After numerous agitations and sacrifices, the State was achieved in a democratic manner and is now making the entire country proud with its achievements.
Stating that the check dams will be constructed in two phases, he said under phase I, construction of many checkdams had already been taken up on a war-footing under Mission Kakatiya.
The Chief Minister said the State government was taking several measures for the past six and half years which brought in a qualitative change in the water resources management.
Dr Sharath was appreciated for his efforts in water conservation works through NREGS, construction of check dams, implementation of Mission Kakatiya, groundwater and rainwater restoration works.
The State government with an aim to further increase irrigation facilities has sanctioned several new lifts namely Nallikal lift in Nagarjunasagar constituency, Pogilla, Kambalapally among others.
