BRS MLA T. Harish Rao accused the Congress government of neglecting municipalities by halting Pattana Pragathi funds, failing to release finance commission grants, and reversing its promise of free LRS. He demanded reinstatement of Special Development Funds and equal treatment for all constituencies.

The Director of Municipal Administration (DMA) D Divya on Monday issued orders to this effect.

The department has shortlisted 140 lakes that would be included the lake rejuvenation programme.

The department intensified its efforts following specific instructions from MAUD Minister K T Rama Rao to officials to get the employees and workers vaccinated on priority basis
