BRS working president KT Rama Rao has accused Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of misleading the Assembly and the public over the Musi River rejuvenation project, calling it a Rs 1.5 lakh crore scam. He criticised the demolition of poor households along the river while ignoring illegal constructions by the wealthy.
BRS legislators staged a walkout from the Telangana Assembly after objecting to remarks made by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy during Question Hour while replying to queries on the Musi River Rejuvenation Project, leading to heated exchanges in the House.
The Congress government is committed to transform River Musi into fresh water river and turn it into a boon for Hyderabad. Irrespective of the hurdles and expenditure, government will take up the project,” he said
Harish Rao said on July 20 this year, Revanth Reddy boasted about grand plans for Musi Riverfront development with Rs 1.5 lakh crore, only to deny to have made any such statements during a recent press conference.
