The Telangana government began operating pumps of the Mahatma Gandhi Kalwakurthy Lift Irrigation Scheme on Saturday after the BRS warned of protests over the delay in releasing irrigation water. Pumps at Yellur, Jonnalaboguda and Gudipalli Gattu were operated.
Former ministers Niranjan Reddy and Srinivas Goud criticised CM Revanth Reddy for failing to implement development projects in Palamuru. They accused him of focusing on politics over governance and highlighted delays in irrigation, medical, and educational infrastructure

The four 400 kv substations were being constructed at Narlapur, Yedula,Vattem and Uddandapur under PRLI scheme, he said, adding that the 400/11 kv Narlapur substation consists of nine 165 Megavolt amperes(MVA) power transformers and 2x25 MVA Station Transformers.
