The Supreme Court issued notice on a PIL challenging NBEMS’s decision to slash NEET-PG qualifying cut-offs to zero and negative levels, calling it arbitrary and unconstitutional, and seeking responses from the Centre, NMC and other authorities.
Over 10,000 aspirants from several districts of Telangana and neighboring States like Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, had traveled to Hyderabad and made arrangements to stay in hotels located near examination centres.
The Health Ministry further said, "It has accordingly been decided, as a precautionary measure to postpone the NEET-PG Entrance Examination, scheduled to be held tomorrow i.e. 23rd June 2024", adding that the fresh date of this examination will be notified at the earliest.

The NBEMS on Friday said that the NEET-PG-2023 will be conducted as notified earlier on March 5 through a computer based platform at various centres across the country.
