They were identified as Pramila (30) and Akshay (8), residents of Munikepally in Nizampet mandal of Sangareddy district

One gate of Nizam Sagar was lifted on Wednesday owing to heavy inflows from upstream, the gates of the Singur reservoir are likely to be lifted on Thursday.

Though the Singur reservoir, built upstream of Nizam Sagar, was not filled to the brim until now, the Nizam Sagar is receiving heavy inflows owing to heavy rains in Sangareddy and Medak districts.

According to reports, water was overflowing from the 7th distributor of the Nizam Sagar main canal into the open space causing inundation.
