As many as 5,000 saplings planted by residents of Mukhra (K), a model village in Echoda mandal to mark birthday of KT Rama Rao last year have now grown.
The Superstar's initiative came after Green India Challenge founder and Rajya Sabha MP Joginapally Santosh Kumar conveyed his wishes to the Superstar and requested him to plant saplings on his birthday.
Marking the birthday of Telangana Chief Minister KCR on February 17, the ministers requested people to make the event a success by planting saplings between 10 AM and 11 AM.
