Following heavy rains and strong gales that uprooted trees, damaged standing crops, and snapped power lines, Tatepally village faced a power outage for three consecutive days. Despite lodging complaints with the electricity department, the issue remained unresolved. In response, the villagers pooled in donations to arrange a diesel generator.
According to reports, a large group of tribals gathered in front of the Gannaram substation, demanding that the electricity officials restore power to their thanda. They complained that there had been no electricity since Friday night and that their complaints to the power officials had gone unanswered.
The ZP general body meeting was held under the chair of ZP chairperson Dava Vasantha here on Wednesday. While explaining about the action plan of the electricity department, Transco SE Satyanarayana said that the State government was supplying 24 hours quality power.
