The SCR in a press release issued here on Saturday informed the passengers that Train No. 07003 Jammu Tawi-Secunderabad will depart at 4.30 am on November 17 and arrive at 11.30 pm the next day.

In order to clear extra rush during Chhath festival season, special trains are being operated between various destinations, the South Central Railway (SCR) said

The South Central Railway (SCR) will operate 804 special trains to facilitate passengers travelling during the Diwali and Chhath festivals.

SCR has taken this decision in order to augment facilities for waitlisted passengers travelling from October 23 to November 23 to various destinations.

South Central Railway is also making arrangements to run more reserved and unreserved (Jansadharan) special trains during the season as per the demand.

The train will connect Secunderabad, Mahabubnagar, Gadwal, Kurnool City, Dhone and will be operated for two days in a week in both the directions

It will be more on the lines of operations at the airports with baggage screening, wait-in lounge and being allowed to step on to platform only when one’s train is ready to pick passengers.

The South Central Railways pointed out at a significant increase in the online booking facilities and gradual decrease in the number of transactions at PRS (Passenger Reservation System) Booking Counters.

While one service will run between Hyderabad and Nagpur, another train will be between Durg (Chhattisgarh) and Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.

Secunderabad – Guntur (12706) and Guntur – Secunderabad (12705) services have been cancelled.

The total 247 children, including 173 boys and 74 girls, were handed over to Child Line authorities for further care and protection

The SCR authorities decided to evacuate the passengers from the trains and transport them safely to their destinations by alternate modes of transport.

SCR authorities requested rail users to make note of the change in the schedule and plan their travel accordingly.
