While giving the instructions at a safety review meeting, SCR General Manager, Arun Kumar Jain, reviewed the stock position of fog safety devices over the zone and instructed the officials to ensure sufficient stocks in view of the ensuing foggy weather conditions.

SCR has taken this decision in order to augment facilities for waitlisted passengers travelling from October 23 to November 23 to various destinations.
South Central Railway is also making arrangements to run more reserved and unreserved (Jansadharan) special trains during the season as per the demand.
It will be more on the lines of operations at the airports with baggage screening, wait-in lounge and being allowed to step on to platform only when one’s train is ready to pick passengers.
The South Central Railways pointed out at a significant increase in the online booking facilities and gradual decrease in the number of transactions at PRS (Passenger Reservation System) Booking Counters.
The SCR authorities decided to evacuate the passengers from the trains and transport them safely to their destinations by alternate modes of transport.
