Earlier, Tharoor and six journalists were booked by the Noida Police for sedition, among other charges, over the violence during the farmers' tractor rally in Delhi.

The Noida police on Thursday booked Member of Parliament Shashi Tharoor, journalists Rajdeep Sardesai, Mrinal Pande, Vinod K Jose (Caravan) and others for sedition.

Tharoor said, "The MPs are saying that the Centre settle the matter with the farmers' unions and call the winter session of Parliament".
