It took 43 balls for Siraj to capture his first Test wicket when he had the dangerous Labuschagne caught at backward short leg by another Indian debutant, Shubman Gill
This is the time when a leader needs to stand up, I will be surprised if Rahane does not promote himself to number four, said the former Indian cricketer
It is understood that young Shubman Gill, after a couple of impressive knocks in the warm-up games, is seen as a replacement of Shaw as senior star Rohit Sharma will not be available until the third Test match in Sydney.
Speaking to ANI, Gill threw light on his form in the current edition of the league, the wickets on offer in UAE, rockstar Andre Russell warming up for a blast at the business end of the tournament
Despite having the likes of Eoin Morgan, Andre Russell, in his line-up, after the dismissals of Gill and Nitish Rana, Karthik sent in Narine to bat ahead of the English batsman, sparking a debate.
In the match against KKR, Delhi Capitals registered 228/4 in the allotted twenty overs and then restricted their opponent to 210/8, winning the match by 18 runs.
