Pahadishareef police detained a few transgender persons for allegedly indulging in indecent acts along the Srisailam National Highway. The police warned that legal action would be taken if such behaviour continued, following repeated complaints from commuters and families.
According to officials, the traffic jam was mainly due to the delay in paying toll tax at Mannanur checkpost in Amrabad mandal. The Forest Department collects the toll from vehicles proceeding to Saleshwaram
