Rajanna-Sircilla police arrested a gang of self-styled godmen who cheated a family in Nizamabad village of Konaraopet mandal by promising to unearth a secret treasury. The fraud came to light when the main accused stopped responding to calls, prompting the victim to lodge a complaint.
A treasure hunt in Kandlapalli village of Bheerpur mandal, Jagtial district, ended in tragedy when a 51-year-old man was electrocuted while digging for a supposed hidden treasure inside a house. Police registered a case based on a complaint from his wife and have launched an investigation.
