Medak: The villagers of Lingareddypally in Manoharabad mandal caught three persons while they were digging in a piece of land located in a private venture for a suspected treasure.

When the villagers questioned them, they tried to threaten them with serious consequences. When the villagers’ numbers swelled, they managed to catch them. Later, they called the police.

Before the villagers arrived, they dug a trench in search of treasure using a JCB. The villagers also found a woman’s photo where they had started digging apart from some puja material.

The trio, who claimed that they were from Chandrayangutta and Bowenpally, were not yet identified. The trio said that the owners of the venture asked them to carry out the digging.

The police took them into custody and the probe is on.treasurmedak
