The counting for the 43 wards of the Municipality commenced at 8 am at Indur Engineering College following the Covid-19 guidelines on Monday.

The Indian Forward Bloc won six seats while Congress accounted for two.

The State Election Commission has made elaborate arrangements for counting the votes in municipalities and Municipal Corporations.

According to election authorities, 140 candidates have filed 154 sets of nominations where 14 of them filed two sets of nominations
