Markets receiving adequate supply of vegetables despite heavy rains that lashed State recently, say officials
With the extension of the relaxation time till 1 pm and a grace period of an hour till 2 pm, people with necessities or activities outside were not in a mad rush to get back home
With showers in parts of the city, the plans of several people to visit the vegetable markets were dampened in the initial relaxation hours.
Initially, when the lockdown began on May 12, people thronged vegetable markets, supermarkets and kirana stores to stock up essential commodities
Many wine shops were closed much before the lockdown period started, as the tipplers had purchased their required stock on Tuesday evening itself.
With the lockdown coming into effect from 10 am, people were seen making the best use of the four-hour relaxation
Shops witness long queues, with managements struggling to ensure physical distancing
