‘Tourist Family’, which is scheduled to hit screens on May 1, is a feel-good family entertainer that features an ensemble cast including Yogi Babu, Mithun Jayashankar, Kamalesh, MS Bhaskar, Ramesh Thilak, Bhagavathi Perumal (Bucks), Ilango Kumaravel, and Sreeja Ravi among others.

Sundar C, who is hailed as the king of franchise films in Tamil cinema, says ‘Maha Shakthi’ will combine breathtaking visuals, high-octane action, and emotionally charged storytelling.

Speaking at the pooja function organised to mark the official launch of the film, producer Ishari K Ganesh said, “I should tell about Nayanthara madam. She has been on a fast for almost a month now. She also fasted for a month before playing the character of Amman in Mookuthi Amman part 1 as well. She is excited about this character and the story."

The film, which features actress Meenakshi Govindharajan as the female lead, went on floors with a simple pooja ceremony recently in the city.

The biopic, the India schedule of which officially began today, will also feature actors Priyamani, Jayaram and Yogi Babu among others. Music for the film is by Govind Vasantha.

It focuses on a family of four—a mother, father, son, and daughter—living in an old-style 3BHK house.

Vels Film International, the production house producing the film, took to its X timeline to make the announcement.
