Hyderabad: The Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) secretary Dharam Guruva Reddy, in a letter addressed to Ronald Rose, Special secretary (Finance), Rahul Bojja, secretary, Scheduled Caste department and Christina Z Chongthu, Secretary, Tribal Welfare Department, alleged that Hyderabad Cricket Association member Narender Goud misused the funds and sought forensic audit of the expenditure submitted by him.
In the letter, the TCA secretary said Narender used close to Rs 1.75 crore in the name of developing the talent in girls, Social Welfare & Tribal Welfare Girls and running the academies at the Social Welfare in Kammadanam, Shadnagar, Chilkur, Wanaparthy and Jinnaram places.
“Narender is running two private academies – VJ Academy and Swetha Academy – in Hyderabad and the fund is being used for his personal academy’s development,” Guruva Reddy wrote in the letter. He further added that it is TCA who is developing the game of cricket outside Hyderabad and HCA should consult them for the development of the game as per the BCCI directives. “TCA is about to be recognised by BCCI either as an independent member or a collaborative member of the State of Telangana based on the service and upliftment of the game in districts. We are also supported by the State government in terms of providing SATS and government playgrounds,” he added.
