Telangana: Accused in knife attack on woman in Medak, arrested

Medak: Medak police arrested Dhanasiri Chaitanya (28), who was accused of attacking a woman, Divya Kripa, at a government degree college in the town on Monday.
The police nabbed him from the town bus station within 24 hours of the attack, they said, adding that they seized a cell phone and shirt which had blood stains on it.
DSP Prasanna Kumar said the accused befriended the victim on Instagram in 2022. Since then he forced her to accept her love, and when she refused his proposal, he attacked her. The DSP cautioned women to stay away from strangers on social media.
Kumar also asked women not to share any photographs or videos with unknown persons on social media platforms. He called upon them to call the police if they needed any help.
The accused was produced before court and remanded in judicial custody.
