Hyderabad: To raise awareness on the importance of exercise and staying fit, Bharath Yadav, a Telangana-based Indian Army jawan, cycled 2,400 km and finished his awareness journey on Sunday.
Initiating this on behalf of the Fit India Foundation, Janagaon; Bharath started his journey from Janagaon, going to Suryapet, Khammam, Mahubabad, Warangal and the rest of the districts of the State, covering about 150 km a day. In a video posted on the Foundation’s twitter account on May 1, Bharath is seen on his bicycle in the initial days of his journey, detailing his journey and urging everyone to stay fit.
Dr. R S Praveen Kumar, secretary, Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society, praised Bharath for this feat and posted the same on his twitter handle. “Bharath Yadav of the Indian Army and a SWAEROE, gave his time off for this cause and cycled 2,400 kms to spread awareness on the importance of being fit and I applaud this feat,” said the tweet in Telugu.
