Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court ordered notices to the Legislative assembly secretariat in connection with the suspension of the three BJP legislators for rest of the session. The matter came up before Justice Shameem Akther on Wednesday. The allegation was that the three BJP legislators T Raja Singh, Eatala Rajender, and M. Raghunandan Rao had obstructed the Assembly proceedings during budget presentation by Finance Minister T Harish Rao. The suspended MLAs moved the High Court seeking directions to permit them to attend the session till its completion.
The Advocate General informed the court that the Speaker’s decision was final and could not be questioned. The petitioners argued that only one of them walked towards the speaker for his attention and that they did not obstruct the business of the House. “When there is a glaring error, the courts can interfere”, the petitioners argued. The judge taking note of the fact that secretary to Assembly were not represented in the court and ordered personal notice and adjourned the case to Thursday.
