For Hyderabad, the IMD has forecast cloudy skies till Wednesday, predicting light to moderate rain or thundershowers. A yellow alert has also been issued for the city on Tuesday, urging residents to stay cautious as weather conditions are expected to intensify.

On Sunday, Hyderabad and several other districts were hit by heavy rain, with Yadadri Bhongir district recording the highest rainfall of 103.3 mm. Golconda in Hyderabad also registered a significant downpour, with 91.3 mm— the highest recorded in the city for the day.

The ongoing southwest monsoon has already brought significant rainfall to Telangana, with the State recording an average of 919 mm so far, a 31 per cent increase over the normal 703.6 mm. Hyderabad has also witnessed an above-average monsoon, recording 780.4 mm of rainfall, a 36 per cent deviation from its normal 575.5 mm. Nampally, in particular, saw a substantial increase, receiving 920.6 mm compared to its usual 570.8 mm, reflecting a 61 per cent surge.

As the State braces for more wet weather, the IMD continues to monitor the situation closely, advising residents to remain alert and take precautions during this period of heightened weather activity.
