Hyderabad: With the Telangana SSC Public Examinations around the corner, Classes VIII and IX students have a unique task ahead.
The younger students have been asked to play an active and a key role in extending moral support to their senior peers by creating placards and posters with a message “best wishes”, “all the best” or “you are our inspiration” in the school.
Parents and villagers have also been urged to join the initiative, offering support to students.
The move is aimed at uplifting the morale and confidence of government and local body school Class X students who are preparing for the SSC Public Examinations.
Further, the government and local body schools have been asked to arrange motivational classes for Class X students with senior students of the school or village to share success stories with their juniors.
This has been decided during the recent review meeting convened by Education department Secretary Dr. Yogita Rana. In addition to the moral boost, the department rolled out a comprehensive action plan to ensure students perform well in the Class X exams.
The department introduced a new strategy called central marks register, which will track students’ performance through daily and weekly tests, and results will be thoroughly monitored by officials concerned.
The schools’ heads have been instructed to hold regular review of students’ performance besides creating specific plans for students who are slow learners.
The department has also urged parents to create a more conducive study environment at home, ensuring their children attend school regularly until the exams. The SSC Public Examinations are scheduled to be held from March 21 to April 4 with over 5.1 lakh students expected to participate.
