Telangana: Cybercrime DSP warns of phishing links ahead of New Year

In a press statement on Sunday, the DSP sensitised the citizens that the fraudsters would send malicious links in the guise of New Year greetings through WhatsApp and other mediums

Sangareddy: Cyber Crime DSP N Venugopal Reddy called upon the citizens to be cautious ahead of the New Year. He said that cyber fraudsters would take the occasion as an opportunity to lure people by sending links that contain malware to phones and laptops.

In a press statement on Sunday, the DSP sensitised the citizens that the fraudsters would send malicious links in the guise of New Year greetings through WhatsApp and other mediums. He said that the cybercriminals would hack phones and target bank accounts and payment apps.
