Telangana: Different groups extend support to Bharat Bandh

The Jamiat Ulama, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, appealed to the public to extend their support to the bandh call.

Telangana: Different groups extend support to Bharat Bandh

Hyderabad: Several city based groups have extended their support to the ‘Bharat Bandh’ call given by farmers group on Tuesday.

The Jamiat Ulama, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, appealed to the public to extend their support to the bandh call. The Jamaat -e-Islami Hind also extended support to the bandh call for Tuesday and said that it will stand by the farmers. The Welfare Party of India also extended support and urged public to participate in the protest programmes.


The Student’s Islamic Organization (SIO) asked all its units to extend full support to the bandh and stand in solidarity with farmers. It asked the cadre to participate in the nationwide protest.

Meanwhile, the Telangana Non Gazetted Officers Union Central extended support to the nationwide bandh call given by pro-farmers groups on Tuesday. M Rajendar, president of the union said that as the State government had already extended support to the protesting farmers, the Union was also supporting the bandh call.
