Telangana: Four arrested on charges of misleading court with forged documents to get bail in Khammam

Khammam: An advocate was among four persons arrested by the Khammam Two-Town police on charges of submitting forged documents in court to get bail for an accused involved in the murder of an elderly couple in Nelakondapalli mandal last November.
Inspector of Police Balakrishna said the four accused- Banoth Bharath, Nunawat Ravi, advocate Shaik Latif and a stamp manufacturer Potlapalli Suresh – had allegedly forged documents. They also allegedly forged the signature of the Uppalachalaka panchayat secretary and the seal of the panchayat office to create fake property valuation sureties and submitted them to the court, thereby misleading the court, he said.
A case was registered based on a complaint by Uppalachalaka panchayat secretary Vankudoth Ravi Teja. After investigation, the four were arrested and produced before court, which granted bail to them.
The aged couple Yerra Venkata Ramana and Krishna Kumari were found dead under mysterious circumstances in their residence at Kotha Kothur of Nelakondapalli mandal in the district on November 27 last year.
The police arrested eight persons, Shaik Abid alias Abid Ali (A1), Chittiprolu Suresh alias Srinivas Rao, Shaik Shabeena, Shaik Hussain Bee, Anumola Anil Kumar, Shaik Jamal Bee, Chaganti Manikanta and Shaik Fareed Ahamed last December.
