Telangana: Fourth arrest in lawyer couple’s murder in Peddapalli
A special police team led by Godavarikhani ACP Umender took Srinu into custody at his house in Manthani on Friday noon.

Peddapalli: Police on Friday arrested a fourth person in connection with the with the brutal murder of lawyer couple Gattu Vamana Rao and his wife PV Nagamani.
Police said Bittu Srinu was taken into custody after his name cropped in the investigation indicating that he had supplied the sickles that were used in the ghastly killing of the lawyer couple two days ago.
A special police team led by Godavarikhani ACP Umender took Srinu into custody at his house in Manthani on Friday noon and shifted him to Ramagundam police commissionerate for interrogation.
Based on information given by the three accused persons, Kunta Srinivas, S Chiranjeevi and Akkapaka Kumar, who were arrested on Thursday, police took Bittu Srinu into custody on charges of helping the assailants.
In interrogation, the accused informed that Bittu Srinu helped them by arranging a car and sickles that were used in killing of the lawyer couple.
Though the name of Bittu Srinu was not found in the complaint lodged by Vamana Rao’s father Kishan Rao, police later included his name in the FIR following the information given by the accused.
Bittu Srinu is the nephew of Peddapalli Zilla Parishad Chairman Putta Madhukar. Srinu is the chairman of Putta Lingamma Charitable Trust being run by Madhukar in the name of his mother.
It is learnt that Srinu brought sickles from a fruit shop in Manthani. Owner of the fruit shop is also a political leader.
