Mahabubnagar: Tourism Minister V Srinivas Goud said Telangana Government was ensuring the welfare of all sections of the society, especially the Backward Classes. The Minister inaugurated the newly constructed Kasi Kapadi Samaj, Community Hall, at Appanapally here on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was extending all support for overall development of Mahabubnagar town. In the past, Mahabubnagar was plagued with many issues, especially power and water supply. Eversince the TRS Government came to power, there was uninterrupted power supply and sufficient supply of drinking water, he said.
The Telangana Government was ensuring welfare and development of all sections, especially Backward Classes. Atma Gourava Bhavans (self-respect buildings) were being constructed for BCs and other communities across the State as a means to organise different programmes and functions, the Minister said.
Earlier in the day, the Minister laid foundation for development and construction of a multi-purpose community hall at Ayyappa Swamy temple, Padmavathi Colony. The Community hall is being developed at a cost of Rs.25 lakh. He also formally inaugurated a blood donation camp organised by Red Cross Society near the temple. He appealed to people to voluntarily donate blood as it would help in saving the lives of others.
Later, he participated in the Christmas celebrations organised at the MBC Church. He said people of all communities were living in peace and harmony in the State.
“People of all faith are living peacefully in Telangana. The Government was according top priority to the safety and security of people of all communities and protecting their interests,” said Srinivas Goud.
