Telangana government plans to expand Singareni on global scale, says Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka
Singareni being considered for profitable ventures in technical and mineral excavation; new mines ready for extraction of 22 million tonnes of coal in next 30 years
Kothagudem: The State government has been planning to expand the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) on a global scale, said Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka.
He, along with the company Chairman and Managing Director N Balram, inaugurated the newly built Singareni General Manager office and area workshop here on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, he directed the government-appointed experts to collect data and submit a report with proper recommendations for the purpose.
Once the report was received, the government would initiate implementation of the action plan. Singareni was being considered for profitable ventures in technical and mineral excavation. New mines were ready to extract 22 million tonnes of coal in the next 30 years, Vikramarka said.
Utmost priority was being given to the safety of Singareni workers. The company was providing Rs 1 crore accident insurance to Singareni workers in case of accidental deaths, he added.
