Hyderabad: Four new judges were formally sworn in as Additional Judges of the Telangana High Court on Wednesday, further strengthening the capacity of the Bench.
The oath of office was administered by Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh during a brief ceremony held in the Court of the Chief Justice.
The newly appointed judges are advocates Gouse Meera Mohiuddin, Chalapathi Rao Suddala, Gadi Praveen Kumar, and Vakiti Ramakrishna Reddy. All four had been recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium in its resolution dated July 2, 2025, and their appointments were approved by the Central Government on July 28, 2025.
Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh—who took oath earlier this month on July 19 at Raj Bhavan—presided over the swearing-in, his first formal induction ceremony since assuming office.
The appointments come after months of requests from the Bar and judicial officers to fill longstanding vacancies in the Telangana High Court, which had been functioning with reduced strength.
With the induction of the four judges, the working strength of the Telangana High Court has now increased to 30, though the sanctioned strength remains at 42.
