Telangana High Court dismisses petition on LLB admissions

Hyderabad: A two-judge panel of Telangana High Court consisting Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma & Justice N Tukaramji on Tuesday dismissed batch of a writ appeal along with batch of writ petitions filed by N Naveen Kumar and others challenging the action of Convenor LAWCET Osmania University in not approving/ratifying admission into 3 years LLB course as the petitioners obtained degree through external examination. The panel while observing that the petitioners do not fulfill the eligibility category for the admission into 3 years LLB course mandated by Bar Council of India Rules on legal education of 2008 as amended in 2017, and Advocate Act found no reason to interfere with the action of the authorities.
Illegal construction
The same panel dismissed writ appeal on the question of illegal construction at Tolichowki in the city. The appeal is filed by Md. Ismail against the order passed by single judge permitting action against him for alleged illegal construction of ground floor plus five upper floors in Plot No. 33 at Raghava Colony, Tolichowki in spite petitioner giving representation to GHMC officials. The single judge allowed the writ petition basing upon the counter filed by GHMC officials identified the illegal constructions by unofficial respondents. The GHMC had informed the single judge that they had initiated action against the illegal constructions. The panel while observing that no illegalities in the order passed by the single judge and the authorities have already initiated action against the private respondent dismissed the writ appeal.
Bar gets notice for noise pollution
The same panel ordered notice to the owners of a private Bar while dealing with a writ petition filed by Nilima Prasad Devi & others against the Commissioner of Police and SHO Jubilee Hills in not considering the complaint submitted by them against BBG Breweries Private Limited causing noise pollution in Absorb Boutique Bar. Counsel for Pollution Control Board submitted that they have carried out investigation and addressed letter to appropriate authorities the Police Commissioner to take action. The panel order notice to the private respondent and adjourned the matter after 6 weeks.
Encroachments
The same panel while adjourning the matter directed Special G.P to file fresh status report categorically stating how many encroachments have been removed and how many have left at Siddiambar Bazar in the city and what action taken is being taken by GHMC and Police authorities. The order comes in a writ petition filed by Laxminivas Agarwal party in person alleging of inaction by the authorities steps to remove unauthorized encroachments of road margins in Siddiambar Bazar and Mahboobgunj. The panel posted the matter after sankranti vacation.
Traffic lanes for VIPs
The panel directed the G.P for home to filed status report categorically whether they are making zero traffic lanes for VIPs and adjourned the matter after vacation. It was dealing with a PIL filed by Vaddi Soma Sekhar against the police authorities in deterring vehicles movement to the common commuters during VIP vehicles movement
Report sought on works in Golconda
The same panel directed the Asst Archaeologist present in the court directed to file status report on whether Golconda Fort requires urgent steps for preserving the same. The panel is dealing with a PIL based upon a News Item published in an English paper in connection with pulverisation of 500 year old Golconda Fort by GHMC officials for laying a pipeline between Ahana Bud and Mamola Bud Area by using drills and earthmovers in spite Archaeological Survey of India direction to stop the work as they have found a deep channel below fort wall. The panel after interacting with the expert adjourned the matter after 4 weeks.
