Telangana Inter Results 2026: 75.61% pass in second year, girls outperform boys
Intermediate Public Examinations 2026 results were declared with a 75.61 per cent pass rate for second-year students, marking an improvement over last year. Girls outperformed boys in both years. Medchal and Jayashankar Bhupalpally topped districts, while recounting facilities have been opened.

Hyderabad: Not just outperforming boys, girls have walked away with top marks in the intermediate public examinations 2026 results declared by the Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TG BIE) here on Sunday.
As per the information released by the TG BIE, Teegala Sai Shreshtitha of Hanamkonda district topped the intermediate MPC stream, securing 997 out of 1,000 marks, in the State. Except for English and Sanskrit, she secured full marks in all subjects.
Shreshtitha was followed by nine other girls – Potru Priya Laxmi (Khammam), Yenugu Srinithya (Nizamabad), Chintala Florence Ruth (Bhadradri Kothagudem), Mandapally Mrudula (Nizamabad), Gopathi Hyndavi (Nizamabad), Korukandla Pallavi (Karimnagar), Balina Sruthi (Khammam), Kambhampati Rohini (Khammam) and Dadi Pranavi (Karimnagar) – who shared second top mark of 996 in MPC.
In the BiPC stream, Koyya Jyoshna (Khammam) and Hafsa Begum of Hyderabad-I shared the top mark of 997. Three girls – Narra Jashwitha (Siddipet), Asma Jabeen (Kamareddy) and Ayesha Begum (Hyderabad-II) – secured 996 marks in the same stream.
Similarly, Amberi Jagruthi of Jagityal district topped the CEC stream with 990 marks, while Naspuri Gomathi of Karimnagar was second topper with 989 marks.
Overall, a total of 4,11,474 regular students appeared for the intermediate second-year general examinations and 3,11,112 passed, translating to a pass percentage of 75.61, which was more than four per cent compared to last year.
Girls continued to outperform boys in the results, securing 12.79 per cent more passes. A total of 2,12,930 second-year intermediate girls secured 81.78 per cent, while 1,98,544 boys registered a pass per cent of 68.99 in general streams. Overall, 5,07,948 second-year intermediate (both general and vocational streams) students secured a pass percentage of 70.58.
As for the intermediate-first year, 4,41,863 students appeared and 66.94 per cent passed, a marginal increase compared to last year. Here, too, girls outshone boys. As many as 2,24,436 girls who appeared for the exams recorded 74.43 per cent of passes, whereas 2,17,427 boys got a pass per cent of 59.21. Overall, 66.20 per cent of passes were registered by 4,89,123 first-year intermediate general and vocational stream students.
The Board has provided the provision of recounting at Rs 100 per paper and Rs 800 for re-verification-cum scanned copy of evaluated answer script. An application can be submitted via the website http://tgbie.cgg.gov.in between April 13 and 20.
