Kothagudem: High Court judge Abhinand Kumar Shavili on Monday inaugurated POCSO Fast Track Special Court. The inauguration ceremony was held virtually. Speaking on the occasion, Shavili, the Administrative Judge of Khammam, said the court would help to expedite the trial of cases filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

District Collector MV Reddy informed that efforts were on to construct a permanent building for the POCSO Court. District Bar Association president Lakkineni Satyanarayana expressed happiness at setting up the court at Kothagudem and said it would ensure justice to the victims of sexual abuse.
Superintendent of Police Sunil Dutt, 5th additional district judge Mohammed Abdul Rafi and others were also present on the occasion. The High Court has issued orders handing over additional responsibility to judge Rafi to act as the POCSO Court judge.
