Hyderabad: Telangana has reported 140 new Covid infections and two fatalities on Saturday taking the cumulative number of deaths to 4,021 and the total number of positive cases so far to 6,80,553. The number of active cases in Telangana, as of Saturday, was 3,499.
The health authorities on Saturday conducted 26,947 Covid tests of which results of 4,267 samples were awaited. A total of 186 individuals have recovered with a recovery rate of 98.89 per cent on Saturday.
So far, a total of 2,94,95,891 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 6,80,553 have tested positive and 6,73,033 persons have recovered.
The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included 92 from areas under GHMC, one each from Jagityal, Khammam, Mahabubnagar, Mahabubabad, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Sangareddy, Vikarabad and Warangal Rural, two each from Jangaon, Nalgonda and Hanamkonda, three from Suryapet, four from Siddipet, six each from Karimnagar and Medchal-Malkajgiri and 14 from Rangareddy.
