RAJANNA-SIRCILLA: A lorry wreaked havoc in Vemulawada temple town on Thursday, after it went out of control.
On its way to Thippapur, the vehicle first hit an electric pole in Mahalakshmi street in the first bypass road and dragged it for some distance.
After hitting a road divider on Mulawagu bridge, it rammed into a shop in Thippapur owned by Kadire Rajamallaiah. Five two-wheeler vehicles of Rajamallaiah’s vehicle consultancy were damaged.
Local people alleged that the incidents occurred as the driver drove the vehicle after consuming liquor. Knowing about the incident, police rushed to the spot and began investigation.
